This infrastructure of the Max Weber Foundation - German Humanities Institutes Abroad provides free access to publications by the institutes and their cooperation partners. This Max Weber Foundation is committed to the principles of Open Access, thus perspectivia.net promotes free access to knowledge and accompanies the transformation of the humanities towards an open science.

Francia-Recensio
»Francia-Recensio« is an online review journal published four times a year by the German Historical Institute Paris. It reviews – in German, French and English – works on the history of Western Europe. Since issue 3/2017, Francia-Recensio has been published in a new look.
All reviews are provided with a DOI, which is a binding and permanent citation for each individual text. For the implementation with the Open Journal Systems software, perspectivia.net cooperates with Heidelberg University Library.
Earlier issues (2008-2017) of »Francia-Recensio« are available on the Internet platform perspectivia.net.

»Francia. Forschungen zur westeuropäischen Geschichte« is published annually in a print edition of up to 500 pages in length. In addition, a digital version has been available since 2012 (volume 39). German, French, and English are the official languages of publication. Trilingual abstracts are included for each essay. In a peer review process, an international peer review panel selects contributions for publication. Since volume 35 (2008), reviews have been published online in four issues of »Francia-Recensio« each year, and are also available on the review platform recensio.net.
Older volumes of the »Francia« journal, which date back to 1973, are retrospectively digitized with a moving wall of one year. They are also freely available on perspectivia.net.
Briefwechsel Fantin-Latour & Scholderer
Henri Fantin-Latour and Otto Scholderer were linked by an intensive pen friendship from their meeting in Paris in 1848 until 1900. The two artists exchanged views on the politics of their time, the practice of their art, and older and contemporary artists.
The 306 letters written in French that comprise the correspondence between Henri Fantin-Latour and Otto Scholderer are preserved by the Custodia Foundation and the Frankfurt University Library. The original handwritten documents were completely transcribed and critically annotated by Mathilde Arnoux and Anne Tempelaere-Panzani from 2004 onwards as part of a research project led by Thomas W. Gaehtgens and funded by the German Forum for Art History in Paris.

Eugenio Pacelli, later Pope Pius XII. (1939-1958), is one of the best known and most controversial personalities of the 20th century. In cooperation with the Vatican Secret Archives and the German Historical Institute in Rome, Pacelli's reports (about 5,500) and the instructions from Rome to the nuncio in Germany (about 4,100) will be recorded, critically edited, commented on, evaluated and made accessible to scholars as well as to a broad international public.
