„Quellen und Forschungen aus italienischen Archiven und Bibliotheken“ e la contemporaneistica (1960–2018)

The article examines the role played by contemporary historical research between 1960 and 2018 within the „Quellen und Forschungen aus italienischen Archiven und Bibliotheken“. The principal results emerging from the survey are as follows: 1) especially from 1980 onwards, the journal devoted increasing space to contemporary history; 2) it also hosted a growing number of contributions written by Italian authors, both in Italian and in German; 3) in order to enlarge its readership, it would be helpful for the journal to publish a larger number of essays by German-speaking authors in Italian.
