Die römischen Repertorien : Neue Perspektiven für die Erforschung von Kirche und Kurie des Spätmittelalters (1378–1484)
Das "Repertorium Germanicum" (RG) gehört zu den Pfeilern der am Deutschen Historischen Institut Rom betriebenen Grundlagenforschung. In seiner über 100-jährigen Geschichte hat es sich von einem Findmittel zu einem komplexen Regestenwerk zur Kirchen- und Kuriengeschichte entwickelt, das – in Verbindung mit dem Tochterunternehmen "Repertorium Poenitentiariae Germanicum" (RPG) – gestiegenen Ansprüchen gerecht wird. Der Sammelband greift neue Fragestellungen an die Repertorien auf. Die Auswahl reicht von Netzwerkanalysen bis hin zu kulturgeschichtlichen Themen wie Heraldik und Gerontologie. Gezeigt wird auch der Nutzen für die Erhellung grenzüberschreitender Verflechtungen und die methodische Reflexion historischer Elitenforschung. Die neuen digitalen Techniken sowie die Zusammenarbeit mit der "Germania Sacra" und dem "Repertorium Academicum Germanicum" eröffnen weitere Potentiale für zukünftige Forschungen.
The "Repertorium Germanicum" (RG) is one of the pillars of basic research carried out at the German Historical Institute in Rome. In its more than 100-year history, it has grown from being a simple search tool to a complex collection of regesta on church and curia history, which – in conjunction with the parallel project "Repertorium Poenitentiariae Germanicum" (RPG) – provides a valid response to increasing scientific demands. The anthology looks at new questions concerning the repertories, ranging from the analysis of networks and relations to cultural and historical themes such as heraldry and gerontology. It also demonstrates their benefits when investigating cross-border interdependencies and assessing methods of historical research on the elite. New digital techniques and cooperation with the "Germania Sacra" and the "Repertorium Academicum Germanicum" open up further opportunities for future research.
Il "Repertorium Germanicum" (RG) costituisce uno dei pilastri della ricerca di base condotta presso l'Istituto Storico Germanico di Roma. Iniziato più di cento anni fa, esso si è sviluppato da repertorio delle fonti a complessa raccolta di regesti relativi alla storia ecclesiastica e curiale che risponde – insieme all'opera parallela del "Repertorium Poenitentiariae Germanicum" (RPG) – alle accresciute esigenze della ricerca. Il volume collettaneo sviluppa nuovi quesiti con cui avvicinarsi ai repertori. L'arco va dall'analisi delle reti di relazioni fino a tematiche di storia culturale come l'araldica e gerontologia. Si approfondisce anche la loro utilità per far luce sugli intrecci transeuropei e per valutare i metodi della ricerca storica sulle élite. Le nuove tecniche digitali e la cooperazione con la "Germania sacra" e il "Repertorium Academicum Germanicum" aprono, infine, nuove prospettive di ricerca.
